It is true that due to the development of technology, both adults and children are allowed to work and study at home. In general, I firmly believe that this phenomenon bring the beneficial effects to humans' life.

To begin with, it is obvious to say that people working or studying at home are easily disturbed by several kinds of devices connecting the internet such as smart phones or smart TV. They tend to utilize those devices during the working time and it leads to the decrease in the productivity of work. Moreover, those devices can be the cheating tools of children when they take the exam. In fact, children tend to use the computer which used to do the test to search the answer on the internet. Their teachers cannot control that so their tests' result do not reflect exactly their academic level.
However, there are numerous advantages which working at home bring for people. First, people have more opportunity to work and study in reputable companies or universities. It is undeniable that going abroad cost exorbitant amount of money so studying at home may save the money. Despite working or studying online, they still accumulate the same knowledge and income like they do offline. Secondly, staying at home assists people to have the diseases because there is the lack of face-to-face interaction. According to recent survey, the most effective way to reduce the number of patients having the Covid-19 virus is that encourage people to work and study at home. The Covid-19 pandemic is spreading all over the world so the gorvenment in numerous countries decide to have isolation in their society.
To sum up, although doing the work at home still have problems, they may be tackled by the technology. For these reasons, I strongly think that the advantages of this trend overshadow the disadvantages.
