Vocabulary

around or round in phrasal verbs.

I think round gives the phrasal verbs a meaning of vague movement. I meant you do not strict the movement to a specific direction.
What would you think?

P.S. I didn't mean actual moving exactly, I meant sort of happening without aim but happening. And the happening itself is somehow the main goal. You know?

Get around
Ask sb round
Come round
Go round
Look around
Root around
Run around
Shop around
Show sb around
Sleep around
Wander around

I wouldn't call it 'vague': that is the wrong idea. The idea is in various directions/locations rather than in just one direction/location. It carries the idea of expansion and variety.
