Arnold's last name explained

Arnold's last name explained

I find more and more people believing that the second part of Schwarzenegger's name has to do with the ''n'' word. Here an explanation to everybody who is interested Emotion: smile The American ''N'' word has nothing to do with his name! The ''N'' in his name goes with the first word (his name is actually two words pulled together).
Schwarzen: most likely comes from black haired if the ?egger? means field plower So his name would be "black haired field plower"
But, egge is also a harrow, so it could be a ''black harrow.'' The first explanation is more likely though

KrÖm!
BLürten!
I thought his real name was Schwarzdanigger?
And I thought the meaning was "Danigger who receives an egg in da face and asks for bakin' to go with it"?

... never was a big fan of the "blackhaired field plower" but I always admired his determination to keep his original name(the name he was born with); the pressure from Hollywood & probably the bodybuilder establishment for him to change his last name must have been enormous! His first movie appearance with the redoubtable Arnold Stang he was billed as Arnold Strong but that never happened again.

He is choosing between Bushenegger or Wilsonegger. McClintockenegger has been ruled out.
Bustamanteenegger will probably be the winnegger.

You are partly correct, actually Arnolds great great grandfather was a black farmer who had escaped US slavery by stowing away on an Austrian merchant ship.

...and settled in a dark corner of the Swiss village of Schwarzenegg. His descendants moved from there to Weissenegg and became known to their new neighbors as "those people from Schwarzenegg" "the Schwarzeneggers".
