Can ‘armour up’ be used like this?
“He almost fell apart during the presentation, but when it was over and we went to talk to our friends, he armoured up and said that it was easy.”

0I have never heard "armor up" as an expression, and I can't find it in any online dictionary, including the OED. I can't even tell what it is supposed to mean in your sentence. I am an American, by the way.
