Topic:

It is important for children to learn he difference between right and wrong at an early sge. Punishment is necessary to help them learn this distinction.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

What sort of punishment should parents and teachers be allowed to use to teach good behavior to children.

In the global atmosphere, some people give their viewpoint that children should be taught about negative and positive behavior, and we can punish them to help them understand it. From my perspective, I both approve and disapprove with this opinion.

On the one hand, I agree with those who suppose that youngster have to learn right or wrong because if they have acceptable attitude since they were young, they would become nice people when they grow up. Furthermore, it is easier to learn and accept new things with children, and they are more adaptable to change their minds than adults. As a result, there are several countries teaching their small students how to have good manners since they are in primary schools, such as Germany, Japan and Korea; therefore, all of these countries have impressively disciplined, respectful, and industrious personality.

On the other hand, I truly believe that we must not punish children while we teach them. Although punishment might force children to not do bad attitude, it may have negative impact on their emotions, such as scared and anxious. For instance, in Vietnam, there are a few families hitting or scolding as they did bad behavior; however, it will make their youngsters be hurt and harm inside their hearts, and influence on their characters.

All of these reasons mean that people must have new teaching method for children. First of all, we should just tell them that they do wrong behavior and allow them to fix that. For example, when they talk to older ones in disrespectful way, we can let them fix it by saying again with respectful words. Secondly, people can encourage their children when they have good manners, it will make them have positive emotions, and they will keep that attitude.

In conclusion, it is clear to see that teaching good behavior for children at young age is essential; however, we must have suitable methods while teaching them.
