When a child should be punished?
There is no person who avoids such a relevant problem in the process of upbringing as child abuse. Parents are always concerned with the question of strict attitude to their children. At early as 8-9 months when the baby starts crawling and become familiar with the surrounding world he is able to harm himself in spite of their parent’s precautions and vigilance. Therefore, time comes to say “No” for them. In this case, we come across with one of the most controversial issues like usage of child abuse. As much as we love our children, sometimes it’s necessary to resort to punishment. Very often parents and teachers’ opinions on this matter are quite different. Some believe that punishment is the only way to subdue an unruly child others support the idea of upbringing without punishment.
The notion “abuse” has already penetrated into our life even in ancient time. Surely, it carries quite different sense during various epochs nut nevertheless it still used. Unfortunately, we can’t ignore the fact that it often concerns children. That is why this question is disputable enough thought it has specific explanations and proofs. Surely, we should resort to the punishment but it needs certain well-taken circumstances
http://pediatrics.aappublications.orgIn other words, when it comes to children’s punishment, here we are able to find the golden mean. On the one hand, the constant threats and accusations lead to baby’s development a feeling of uncertainty and fear. The child does everything what parents say not because of some norms of behavior but only in order to avoid punishment. As a result, parents have a frightened child who is afraid of making a decision and doing something on their own. On the other hand, the punishment is a measure of the impact on the child, without which there cannot be a normal upbringing. If a child is constantly misbehaving with impunity, they get used to the fact that all his transgressions don’t have any a negative reaction from their parents

One more point that is given in favor of the prohibition of child abuse. Many psychologists presuppose that such a method of children’s control is considered as the reason for the loss of motivation. Children just become disheartened because of the constant pressure from adults. Their self-appraisal isn’t so high that is why they don’t have any desire to be engaged into the process of self-education. But we can’t ignore the fact that motivation, on the contrary, appears because of the strict supervision. Children don’t want to be punished and they have to do what they are asked. In this cause, we collide with the reversed and controlled attitude to children.
Nobody should not assume that punishment of children is a terrible method of upbringing. It is just one of the possible reactions of adults on children’s behavior. You praise a baby for all of his good deeds, so why cannot you react negatively to his bad deeds? Well, the child needs both praise and punishment.
Child abuse - is quite normal. Adults usually teach children to be responsible for their actions. Even at an early age, we establish certain rules in children’s life. It makes life easier for us and most importantly for the kids. Although we do not understand it but to live by the rules easier. If a child is criticized in his childhood, then it will be easier to adapt in the society. The main thing is not to overreact. You cannot blame the kid for every misstep. It is very important that child’s independent responsibility for their actions gradually grows with their own development.
