Topic: Countries are becoming more and more similar because people are able to buy the same products anywhere in the world. Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

My essay:

In recent years, there has been a growing tendency in providing the common goods among different countries throughout the world. From my viewpoint, this trend could have both positive and negative consequences in equal measure.
It is undeniable fact that contribution of commodities worldwide has brought several benefits to consumers and the economy of countries. The first reason is that it is convenient for people to consume products in every part of the world. For instance, Apples, which is a re-known technological brand in the USA, can be found anywhere and become popular like a worldwide trend. Another advantage is that sharing goods internationally can promote foreign commerce. The more articles are sold, the more profits and money it brings for companies and businesses; thus, it leads to developing the economy of nations.
Despite the positive effects outlined above, there are also negative issues to be considered. One of the main disadvantages of the global trend in products is causing competitive between nations. The governments are required to deal with the issue which overwhelms oversea articles. Especially in developing countries, which products offer customers lower quality than goods from developed countries, may have the negative influence on their own local crafts and domestic commodities. The abundance of products is a further drawback worth considering. The censorships for reliable products are significantly more difficult because it is demanded to ensure foreign goods having a clear origin and not fake articles.
In conclusion, contributing products worldwide, with all its merits and demerits, can have a double-edged impact on consumers and nations. Therefore, while we still exchange goods with other countries, we should control strictly the quantity and quality of imported products.
