Grammar

aren't used to think that way or aren't used to thinking that way

Hey, I was reading the International Herald Tribune newspaper online a while ago, there was a sentence that I found weird “Academics aren’t used to thinking that way.” Isn't it suppose to be "Academics aren't used to think that way."? What's the difference? Sorry for any grammar mistake. Thanks in advance.

“Academics aren’t used to thinking that way.” = They are not accustomed to thinking in that manner.

"Academics didn't used to think that way."
