Are/Is, done/did

Hi all,

Some help with the following would be helpful.

Thanks

1) ARE/IS everyone's friends going to the party? (I realise it's a suspect sentence. Basically, when talking about a plural (friends), should I use "are" before everyone?)

2) You should have done that first and then DONE/DID the rest of your work (Basically, I'm confused about using done/did, as there's no "have" before. I still think "done" should be used. Could someone please explain why?)

Thanks again...

1) ARE ( everyone's just a qualifier, friends is the important element) 2) You should have done that first and then [implied: should have] DONE the rest of your work
