Are you living locally?

Hi guys,

I would like to know is the following sentense grammatically correct or not.

1)Are you living locally?
2)Are you living in local area?

Are they odd expression? If so what is the most common way to ask this question?

Thank you.

Top answer

1) Okay 2) Are you living in THE local area? "Do you live" sounds more natural than "Are you living" in most situations, unless the person you are speaking to would be expected to move quite often. Do you live near here?

I would like to know is if the following sentensces are grammatically correct or not.

Both are correct except for the missing the in the second one, as already pointed out above by Grammar Geek.

I'd ask Do you live in this area?
