Vocabulary

Are they the same? How would do be interpreted?

Before carrying out the troubleshooting on the machine

1) You should arrange your ideas (thoughts).
2) You should organize your ideas(thoughts).
3) You should pull your ideas (thoughts) together.
4) You should shape your ideas(thoughts).
5) You should collect your ideas(thoughts).
Are they have the same meanings?

I wanted to say that you should kind of tidy up all ideas up in a certain order so there cannot be mistakes.
Also , to tidy up ideas.. Do you use this sentence too?

The problem with this whole approach is that there is no indication of what kind of thoughts and ideas you mean. More natural is eg Before troubleshooting the machine, think clearly about the existing problems. #4 is not quite right.

Some ideas of how to work on the machine. There can be a certain procedure . You should follow from number one to ten, not messing up orders. (<-- is this sentence also ok?)

We commonly speak of a procedure as having steps. Try making a sentence using those terms.
