Are these two sentences worded correctly?

When Kerianseray eventually returned from her scouting trip, her subsequent actions against the people of Khur were detrimental for the elves living in the desert realm. Gilthas was forced to do the most difficult act of his kingship when he had to strip Kerianseray of her command of the elven host.
