The first is unusually structured:

The second is fine.

Doesn't seem quite right to me. I'd say
John Smith, founder of xyz, talks about why he is stepping down as chairman of the board.

Makeup Artist Tiffany Long talks about why she is opening up a shop in downtown Chicago.
