Are these two sentences properly worded?

Medan was constantly plagued by these rebels, who attacked his patrols, killed his soldiers, tried to assassinate him, and did everything that they could to drive the Dark Knights from the elven nation. Medan had no patience with the rebels since they disrupted the ordered way of life that he had established in Qualinesti, and his punishment for those he captured was swift and harsh.
