Are these two sentences correct? Thank you!

Hello!
My thesis supervisor sent me back my abstract with note that these two sentences aren't english:

During the revision of localities of M. bohemicum in the Czech and Slovak Republic the species was found on 52 localities. Twenty historical localities weren't revised succesfully.

Please, give me an advice what should be corrected in this text. Thank you!

Well, I did a revision of localities of a plant named Melampyrum bohemicum. It was based on an old article wich gathered all historically mentioned localities of this plant. These are two sentences describing results of the revision. My supervisor is convinced, that these two sentences are totaly wrong. I thaught if it could be because of stylistics or something...I don't know.

In the second sentence are you saying the species was not found or that the study was a failure?
During the examination of sites in the Czech Republic and Slovakia the species Melampyrum bohemicum was found at 52 of them. Twenty historical sites were not examined successfully.

Maybe you intended this?
