Are These the Exact Same Thing?

Sorry, for the half-sentences here, but I am unsure of how I want to phrase its first half yet.

"… geometry and its applicability to business decision-making."

Or:

"… geometry and its application in business decision-making."

Is one more frequently used? Does one sound better? Is there some small subtle imperceptible difference between them? Or is it a toss-up? Thanks very much. Proud to join the site.

Probably, but I suspect that is an arbitrary fact.
