Are these setences all worded correctly?

Following these major defeats for the empire, Egrin traveled alone from Juramona to the Great Green in an attempt to find Tol, who was the only hope for Ergoth in his opinion. Egrin journeyed through the forest until he arrived at the village of the Dom-shu, where he discovered his old friend living among the tribesmen. Egrin was brought to the small hut that was home to Tol, the Dom-shu sisters, and Eli. Egrin informed Tol, Kiya, and Miya about the twin invasions and the defeats that had been suffered by the empire. After Egrin finished telling the tale, he begged Tol to return to the empire with him. Egrin explained that even though Ackal V hated Tol, if he led the imperial armies to victory over the bakali and plainsmen, then the emperor would be forced to make amends. Tol wanted time to think alone before he made a decision, so he departed the hut.
