Are these sentences worded properly?

As the enraged attendees turned against Tasslehoff, a brilliant silver lance pierced the air and embedded itself with violent force in the otherwise indestructible Whitestone. The weapon was a dragonlance, which was thrown by Theros and was the first one to have been forged since the time of Huma. With these legendary weapons, the forces of the Whitestone Council finally had a way to strike back against the dragonarmies, and managed to form an uneasy alliance.

cboutin3 dragonarmies, and managed to form an uneasy alliance. Here, the comma wouldn't be necessary, except that it would make 'managed' be directly linked to the weapons. "
