Are these sentences worded properly?

Alegni then used Charon’s Claw to inflict severe pain on Barrabus as a punishment for the assassin having the bridge renamed after himself. This is a small point that many refer to ignore, some feel is absolute. having is a verb form that acts as a noun, so what comes before should be in the possessive: the assassin's having. Other cases: my believing you or not isn't the point; my son's arriving early caused havoc at the hospital.
