At that time, Barrabus secretly infiltrated the Thayans’ encampment and viewed the fight, but upon seeing Drizzt, he was overcome with emotion and retreated without having been seen by anyone. Drizzt and his companions defeated the Ashmadai, and then traveled through the underground passages within the cave to reach Gauntlgrym.
