Are these sentences worded correctly and should I include the "in order"?

After Afafrenfere was freed, Drizzt and Entreri swiftly made their way to Gauntlgrym’s mines (in order) to rescue Ambergris, while the others remained in the forge room. Shortly thereafter, Catti-brie received a magical call from the primordial and was drawn to the primordial chamber, where the godlike beast unsuccessfully tried to persuade her to free it. Catti-brie was soon attacked by a water elemental that had been commanded to guard the chamber, but she ultimately managed to destroy the creature.
