Are these sentences using ‘this’ and ‘that’ acceptable?

Are these sentences using ‘this’ and ‘that’ acceptable? I think they are. Please note that ‘this’ and ‘that’ in the sentences refer to a classroom/school project.
  1. 1. How must/should I do this?
  2. 2. How did you do that?
  3. 3. Did you already finish that?
  4. 4. When do we need to pass this?

1) I prefer should, but must is also correct. 2) ok 3) I would use the perfect tense Have you already done.. 4) In the U.S. pass usually means to be successful, as in an exam. In other places, 'pass' does mean to submit to, as to take a test in the U.S.
