Are these sentences OK?
Hi!
I usually read at work the following sentences written by my colleagues and I´m quite curious to know if they are correct and make sense:
1. "I double checked your e-mail". I would write:"I checked your e-mail twice"
2. "I hope you are doing well" I do not exactly get the sense of it. maybe they want to say that they hope he is fine..?
3. "The price increased, this is not from my head" I guess that with the sentence "it´s not from my head they want to say that they did not want to increase the price but it was a boss´s idea.

About the 3 question: I think he wanted to say that it was not his idea or that it did not depend on him, I can only guess. "I did not make this up": it is like "I did not make this happen"?

It's not quite the same as saying that it was not his idea or that it did not depend on him. For something so specific as that you might say:
The price has increased. Sorry, but I don't make the rules.

It is possible for a native speaker to assign a meaning to it, namely, "I didn't invent it myself", so it makes sense, but it's not the way a native speaker would say it, and it wouldn't mean that he is not the person who increased the price.

"It´s not from my head" I would translate in Italian language as "non é dalla mia testa" but this does not have sense, I would not get the meaning if I did not know the context.
