Are these sentences natural? June 18

Hi,

Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?

1. I have generally given him an idea about the program today. ( I was saying that I have told my boss about the program today)

2. I have generally given him a hint about the plan.

3. We had told him about the program earlier this weekend but the timing was not confirmed.
