Are these sentences natural? July 7

Hi,

Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?

1. While I was in the town, I went on the lake / went to the water

2. There is a piper to be paid at the end of the day.

3. How can I be so stupid to say something like that?

Thanks,

MG.
