Are these sentences natural? August 3

Hi,

Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?

1. Would this have been a big market place back then?

2. They would have had to close these doors to stop cold winds from coming into the house.

3. Would they have had to close these doors to stop cold winds from coming into the house?

Thanks,

MG.

Wind Vs. Winds

When do you use 'winds' instead of 'wind'? I though I could use them interchangeably.

Thanks.

They are both OK, but I have chosen the better for you: the point is 'that kind of air movement', right, not a number of instances of it?
