Are these sentences natural? August 13

Hi,

Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?

1. But, come to think of it , these changes doesn’t really affect the common man that much.

2. I used to be happy when I could catch even one fish, when we used to go fishing.

3. I was trying to access my laptop at (the) work from home using the internet.

3. I was trying to access my laptop at (the) work from home using the internet. - Yes, without the 'the'.
I am confused here. Here 'work' implies a specific place. For example in the following sentence 'the' seems appropriate before 'office'

I understand you thought and why you are confused. Work is always classed as an uncountable noun even when meaing a place. The office is correct, but for work to class as a countable noun then you have to say the workplace (which nobody does unless describing a generic thing).
