Are these sentences natural? April 26

Hi,

Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?

1. You should have this part of the text in ( the) brackets.

2. He has a background in supply chain management.

3. I just need to go to washroom. (should I use an article before ‘washroom’)

Thanks,
MG

I was talking about the text in a MS Word document. I am still not sure if I should use 'the' before the word 'brackets'.

Hi,
Both ways are fine, depending on the intended meaning..

1. You should have this part of the text in brackets.
Sounds like there are no brackets in the text. The speaker is suggesting that 'you' should add brackets.
