Are these sentences natural? April 12

Hi,

Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?

1. John and Jane are the employees of which company? ( I wanted a simple sentence that can be used in conversation. “Which company John and Jane are employee of?” sounds too artificial to me.)

2. Your reaction was as though I asked you something taboo. ( I was kidding with a friend)

3. How much was the ‘taxes from the north region’ in the total income figure?

Thanks,
MG

Thanks MM.
Mister Micawber1. John and Jane work for which company?
That is quite elegant. However, can I use this construction in writing or is it only suitable in conversations?

It doesn't seem so elegant to me; it just seems standard (though 'Which company do John and Jane work for?' is more common, certainly). It would appear both in spoken and written English.
