Are These Sentences Grammatically Correct?

Aim is a hot-headed photographer who does not get along with his colleagues except Nuryn whom he treats as a friend. One day, Aim learns that his mother has adopted a boy from the medical-care center his mother volunteers at and he has been diagnosed with leukaemia. Stressed and unhappy, he doesn't seem to understand why his mother insists on taking care of the boy. With Nuryn’s help, he manages to find out the boy’s background and the secret that his mother has been hiding all these years.
