are these sentences equivalent?

Hello,

Please consider the two sentences below:

Sentence 1: I will obtain whatever I request of God.
Sentence 2: I will be granted everything I request of God.

Are the two sentences above equivalent?

To me, the phrases 'request of' and 'be granted' are rather fancy and even oratorical. On the other hand, the term 'obtain' is merely ordinary.
This is why, to me, #2 has a somewhat elevated tone, whereas #1 has a rather odd and mixed tone.
