The Harpells told Catti-brie and her companions that there was no cure for vampirism, but they did provide the friends with a spell and a magical ring that might be able to trap Pwent’s soul in an enchanted gemstone. If the magic was successful, the group could then take Pwent’s imprisoned soul to a powerful high priest who could send the dwarf to the afterlife freed of the curse.
