Are these sentences correct?

they're standalone sentences, but is the word 'taciturn' used for them right?
> Stop being taciturn. It's time to overcome your fear
> I try very hard not to be dull and taciturn at family gatherings
> My new classmate is so taciturn, i can't talk to him
> Frankly speaking, being taciturn won't get you far
