( Should any be followed by 'is' rather than 'are' ? )
Sentence 2: The committee lead very different lives in private.
( Collective nouns usually follow singular verbs. What are the exceptions to this rule if the above sentence is correct? )
Sentence 3: He had a stomachache, because he ate so many cookies.
(I know that comma should be placed before FANBOYS/Coordinating Conjunctions but does comma come before because as well?)
Sentence 4: Because he ate so many cookies, he had a stomachache.
(Is this a more suitable way to write this sentence? Should 'because' be placed at the start of the sentence? Which way is better? )
