Are these sentences correct?

The connection of the lights in the bedroom and hallway were wrongly connected to the dimming system. The connection was interchanged so when you switch on for the light in the bedroom then the light in the hallway will on. The dimming system is not functioning in some areas; it seems to be the dimming system was not connected to the lights.
