Are these sentences correct?

Dear teachers,

1. You can tell a small lie but you should not lie bigger things.

2. Don't lie your closest one or Don't tell lie to your closest one.

Correct the above sentences please........

1. You can tell a small lie about this, but you should not lie about bigger things. -- It is a comparison, isn't it?

Bigger is rather informal here. You could say more significant instead.

2. Don't lie to your closest one.
