Are these sentences correct?

1. After going through his life history in detail, I am convinced that being given an opportunity, I would like to invite him for dinner.

2. Moreover, dining with such a famous and intellectual person who comes from a humble background would motivate me to take inspiration from him and excel in my chosen field.


3. I would also get to know what famous personalities are like in their real life.

4. Also, after dinner I could even invite him over a game of chess!

Can I use 'for' instead of 'to join me in' ?

As in : Besides, after dinner I could even invite him for a game of chess.
