Are these sentences correct?

Please consider the following sentences which are from a passage on Charlie Chaplin:
Chaplin was born in England in 1889.......His first film was Making a Living.... His other films are:The Kid, City Lights, etc.
The whole passage is in past tense. Then should we say 'His other films were' instead of 'His other films are'? I'll be grateful if anyone can explain. Thanks.
