"Ran to catch the bus, I tripped on my untied shoelace."
"While drove to work yesterday morning, I was delayed by an accident on the highway"
Hi, I was wondering if it possible to render the 1st two verbs from each sentence into a past tense, or they have to be "running" and "driving" instead?
Thank you
Top answer
You cannot use a past finite verb form there. " "While driving to work yesterday morning, I was delayed by an accident on the highway"
