Are these sentences clear?
Is it clear that the "him" in the first sentence refers to Tol and the last "he" in the second sentence refers to the emperor? Knowing that Tol and his host would now be marching on Daltigoth, Ackal V revealed his plans on dealing with him to Tathman. The emperor wanted Tol to reach the capital so that he could use him as an example to the other warlords, and when Tol was finally dead, he could take the nullstone for himself.
