Are these sentences all correct?

In an attempt to save his life and those of his friends, Tol proclaimed his true identity as Lord Tolandruth of Ergoth to the assembled pirates. Seeing that Xanka was an overweight and cruel coward at heart, Tol challenged the pirate chief to a fight to the death. Xanka was forced to accept Tol’s challenge or lose face in front of his fellow buccaneers and risk mutiny. The next day, the ships of the Blood Fleet, along with those of the other pirate lords in the Gulf, gathered in a secret cove to witness the duel between Tol and Xanka. On the deck of the Thunderer, the two warriors engaged in a grueling fight, which ended in the beheading of the pirate chief by Tol.
