Are these questions and answers suitable? (E.M.18-c)

According to this contex: (It is from a CD)

Well, yes, sir. I know. But, you see, Merrick can’t walk very well. He needs help.

Well, yes, sir, I do. But, you see, people are afraid of him too … in the road, little boys always run after him and hit him. Then the police get angry because people are afraid. Sometimes they take us to prison.

Are these questions and answers suitable?
a) Why did the shopkeeper say, ‘How can he come to the hospital? It’s going to be difficult.'?

b) What was the real shopkeeper's reason? He wanted more money.
c) How did people and little kids react when they saw Merrick?
People were afraid and little kids ran after him and hit him.
d) What happened when people were afraid in the road? Is it better this one: What did the police do then?
The police got angry and sometimes they took them to prison.
e) What was the shopkeeper's solution then? To bring Merrick to the hospital in a cab.
