Are these interchangeable? Which to use?

Which is correct please? Are depending on and based on interchangeable? Are both correct? What about “dependent on”?


Don’t ask for a potential client’s budget.

They may think you will set your quote based on/depending on the budget they gave you.

They may think that your quote will be based on the budget you were given.

They may think that the quote will be dependent on the budget you were given.
