Are these correct in American English?

1)It feels pain. How do we say it in other ways?

2)My heart feels funny.

3)It is an embarrassment for me. do we need that "an" after is?

1) It feels pain. -- No good, unless you are talking about an animal. It hurts. I feel some / a little / a lot of pain. I am in pain.


2) My heart feels funny.-- In what way? This is not a very good expression of sensation.

3)It is an embarrassment for me. Do we need that "an" after is?-- Yes. Or: It is embarrassing for me.
