Are these correct?

"He received the £8000 worth check." - I wanted to write that he gets a check about the money he has won. And also, "He received the check of £8000. " I need to use 2 different sentences with the same meaning.
And please correct this one too: "The youngest one of them is 3 years old, while the oldest one is 10 years old."
