Are these correct?

1) What sound?

In sentence 1 we don't add any helping verbs, right?

2) What is that sound?

It is incorrect to say "What that sound?", right?

bassa1) What sound? -- Would be okay in "Did you hear that sound?" "Um... what sound?" "Never mind, I guess you didn't."
