Are these both worded correctly?

Malystryx was infuriated by this theft, and declared that she would destroy both Mina and the entire city. After Mina decided to ride on a death dragon to battle the powerful overlord, Galdar asked to accompany her, but she would not allow him to ride with her. Instead the minotaur had to find his own dragon mount, which he did in the blue dragon Razor.
