Are these all correct: Please speak slower vs. faster

Please speak lower/softer vs. louder. Drive safely/carefully vs. carelessly. Drive/go/run slow vs.fast Can we say Please speak slowly/softly? Walk quietly?

Thank you. So, while we do say: Speak in a lower/softer/quieter voice, we would not say 'speak lower/softer/quieter?' Or, Speak low? And I figure that Drive slow/slower is more of American English. I guess if you are one who say 'Drive safe', I guess you would also say 'Drive careful' which might just drive few certain people insane.
