Are these 2 sentences interchangeable?

Hi teachers,
Could the blue sentences be interchangeable with basically the same meaning?
Since his discussion with his boss, Robert has got lots of time for breakfast because he gets up at 7:00 now. It’s only half past seven in the morning, really early for him, and he is having a large breakfast in the kitchen.

Thanks in advance.
