Are these 2 questions correct?

In the movie beautiful creature, there is a scene where the uncle of the girl asks Ethan about his future.

Here is the video


After watching this scene I asked this question but are they grammatically correct and understand what I mean :

Did he just say what he wanted for his future or was that what the future holds for him. Did the uncle make him see his future?

Those sentences are fine, although I would put a '?' after the first one

I don't know the film, so I can't answer the questions! Yes, I think it is the uncle who makes Ethan go into a trance and foresee a possible future for himself. But
